Browse at your leisure as you enter into one of our room settings and relax in a Johnston Benchworks or Seraph upholstered wing chair or settle. Period and colonial lighting provides a warm ambiance throughout the shop. A variety of wall decor including framed prints, samplers, signs, clocks, bowl racks, spoon racks and quilt racks line the walls.
Early style furniture, handcrafted farm tables, Windsor chairs, Shaker cupboards (pine and painted), stepbacks, chests, benches and fireplace mantels are found throughout the shop. You will also find vintage candles tartwarmers, pottery, Americana folk art, redware, pewter, tinware, baskets, dolls, rosehip wreaths, potpourri and wrought iron for your shopping pleasure in addition to our seasonal displays.
Our antique mall within the shop includes the best primitive antique selection in Washington. The dealers' spaces are filled to the brim with treasures found throughout the United States. In addition to the antique mall, we have antique stoves, furniture and accessories throughout the shop. You will also find primitive decor items in these areas.
We carry a variety of braided rugs by Weymouth, Colonial and Capel as well as hand-loomed rugs by Country Cat Loom which can be special ordered in any color or pattern needed. Stenciled floor mats in an array of patterns and colors are also available.

Visit our Decorator Room. You will find wallpaper, colonial stencils, homespun fabrics, quilts, historical textiles, hand-woven table linens, window treatments, throws, table runners, lampshades, wrought iron cabinet hardware, curtain rods and primitive or rustic hooks in all sizes and shapes. Olde Century Paint is also available in all the historical colors.
Decorating services are available at your request. In 2003, our staff was afforded the opportunity to decorate a Street of Dreams home in the local area and won the Judges Award. Ask to see the pictures and we will share our experience of converting a Traditional style home into a country decor setting.
Your visit will include the opportunity to meet with numerous local Folk Artists who continually surprise us with hand-crafted one-of-a-kind folk art.
Both Julie Zakrzewski and Mona Holland create an array of primitive dolls, make-dos and seasonal folk art in addition to assisting our customers with their requests and needs.
Harold Turpin continously creates a variety of lighted houses, log cabins, and barns as well as sheep, goats, and numerous Americana pieces to the delight of our customers.
The Pantry is open!!---filled to the brim with GOODIES to entice your taste buds from Stonewall Kitchen (preserves/syrups/baking mixes/savories and down east crackers). Barefoot Contessa offers dessert baking mixes, dessert sauces and preserves. Enjoy Market Spice Tea and Cheese biscuits and straws from Salem Baking. Soups and Scone mixes are available from Canterbury and Fisher. Try Muriels home-style dips for all your entertaining needs.
The Pantry is filled with vintage kitchen accessories as well as home textiles. Earthenware, bakeware, and stoneware fill the cupboards along with hand-painted ceramic dinnerware and accessories. Gidgets and gadgets and cookbooks galore.
Spring has arrived at the Saltbox with flowers and garden accessories filling the displays with color and interest.
Bird houses and birds of all colors and descriptions are plentiful.

With the Presidential Election just around the corner, Harold Turpin, one of our local folk artists, handcrafted the magnificent White House in all its glory. Stop by to enjoy all Harold's latest lighted dwellings.
